ALTENATE RANGES
Now once you’ve located the classification, you will see a letter underneath it, which indicates the alternate range. Alternate ranges are usually A, B, C, D, L, M, N and are basically a subgroup you will fall under within that classification based on which criteria you meet and the higher your range, typically the more pay you get.
- A, B, C, D are often tied to experience, education or license. If you meet the requirements, you will be placed in that range and start at the minimum of that range.
